Monkey Bridge Arts is a center devoted to the growth, transformation
and healing of individuals and the community through art, dreaming
and creative development.

At Monkey Bridge Arts you will find a safe, supportive environment for
exploring your creativity while remaining firmly grounded in the
practice of making art.

Through a variety of
classes, workshops and individual mentoring
sessions, you will learn how to enhance your artistic development,
deepen your spirituality and increase your overall sense of wellness.

Background

Monkey Bridge Arts was originally founded by Sheila McNellis Asato
in 1994 in Urayasu, Japan.  In November, 2005, Monkey Bridge was
opened in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Monkey Bridge Arts derives its name from an image found in Asian
art, folk stories and songs.

It is said that monkeys are able to link themselves together to form a
living bridge that can span even the deepest ravines. By grasping
each others hands and feet, these clever monkeys are able to reach
for goals that might otherwise be impossible to accomplish alone.

Mission

Monkey Bridge Arts is dedicated to creating bridges of peace,
understanding, and compassion between people and their inner-
most selves through art, dreaming and creative development.
